Right Angle Club: 2014
New topic 2013-11-19 20:22:11 description
|C Thomas Howes|
Haiku is an ancient Japanese form of poetry, originally in seventeen pieces. In recent years there has been a revival of haiku, usually shortened and omitting many of the symbolic rules. Tom Howes, a former president of the Right Angle Club, has his own version of the tradition and has produced nearly a thousand of them, which Ross & Perry plans to publish.
Tom is better known to the club for his weekly joke presentation. The jokes seem entirely dissimilar, except it is obvious they follow certain rules. They come in threes, with the first a pun, then a short joke, and finally a whammo joke, to coin a phrase.
